As a scuba diver, you’ve definitely paid your dues. You committed yourself to take classes to get your certifications, you invested in quality equipment to ensure you can dive safely, and you invest the time and effort to keep diving.
Oregon Scuba Club exists purely for divers by divers. We love what we do and we want to share that love with like-minded people, whether you’re new to the sport or a seasoned veteran. We are run by volunteers who invest their time in making Oregon Scuba a fun and informative club and receive no money for doing so. The money we receive from you goes into throwing our monthly meetings with interesting speakers, our club dives around the Pacific Northwest, our annual summer barbecue and our winter holiday party.
Your dues also covers the purchase and maintenance of safety equipment we have on every club dive. One of our goals for 2019 is to add to our list of safety equipment. Your dues will help achieve that goal.
If you attend our meetings and/or join us on club dives, please pay for membership. We encourage guests to come see what we are all about. Ultimately, we would like for everyone to be a paying member. It’s what keeps us going. You know that scuba is not an inexpensive sport. For what it costs for a couple of tank-fills, you become part of a great community of divers that are always willing to share their knowledge and adventures with you.
