Diana’s Bio: As an avid scuba diver, Diana has learned patience and respect for the apex predators of the sea and the tiniest of critters who make the ocean their home.  She’s obsessed with recording them through photography and sharing her images to spread the word about the beauty, colour and detail of the underwater world.

The Coral Triangle hosts 76% of the world’s coral species. For comparison, the Caribbean holds just 8%. You can find 37% of the world’s coral reef fish species in the Coral Triangle. In Hawaii, you will find only 7%. It is hard to explain to a non-diver, the passion to go underwater and watch the marine life eat, fight, mate and die, sometimes all in the span of an hour. This presentation will attempt to show you the diversity of marine life in the Coral Triangle, focusing on the Philippines and Lembeh Strait in Indonesia. The beauty and peace of the underwater world is constantly changing and provides a never-ending source of new creatures and marine behavior to observe and record.
