This is a shore dive with relative easy access, parking and nearby restrooms and a restaurant.
Do not be tempted to use the boat ramp though – OR Ordinance #43 (3.40.3) specifically prohibits scuba diving from structures like this! It is probably best to scramble down the rocks behind the restrooms.
Diving is along the rock wall which runs next to the shore/road along the bay. WATCH OUT for the tidal exchange, boaters and people fishing from shore – let’s play nice with everybody! Max depth is only 20 to 25 ft. with viz generally around 10/15 ft. and up to 20 ft. Varied sea life; Black bass, rockfish, schools of Perch, Kelp greenling, eels, starfish, sea stars, sea cucumbers, a variety of crab and of course, the elusive Crumbed Tofurt…
